This may entice some to either quit their current positions or stay of the job market so as to continue receiving funds. In either case, new jobs won't be created.
Another problem with the idea that there may be increased jobs is that the jobs increased will serve to simply have one person moving to a new or different position. This does not create jobs, it merely exchanges them.
The one field that may well see a boost in its employment ranks is the alternative energy area. And while some people move to a new jobs, who will fill their old position?
That becomes one of the puzzle pieces that hasn't yet been put together. As companies fear the ramifications of the stimulus plan, they are changing their own business strategies. Because no one is certain of how the different new rules and regulations will affect them, companies may not be prone to fill positions as they appear.
